Lindsay Matti, MA, LICSW
Lindsay has been providing mental health services for the past 4 years. She provided case management services in a hospital and a community support service setting. She then transitioned to work as an outpatient therapist in a community mental health center where she has worked for the past 2 years. She is looking forward to continuing her career in a more intimate setting.
Lindsay specializes in working with adults of all ages, providing therapy to individuals and couples. Her areas of expertise include treating people with anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma, grief and loss, shame, and relationship issues. She uses a person-centered approach with each client by tailoring therapy to each individual’s needs. These approaches may be cognitive, behavioral, emotionally focused, or trauma informed in nature. The thing that brings her the most joy about providing therapy is watching an individual or couple experience an “aha” moment during a therapy session as if an emotional mystery has been solved. Through her continued education, she received trainings in EMDR therapy to help people process their traumatic memories, couples therapy using an emotion-focused approach, and complex grief therapy.
Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family and pets. Her hobbies include yoga, painting, reading, baking, watching movies, attending her children’s hockey games, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and spending time in nature.
