• Jenna Fahland, LPCC

    Jenna is a licensed professional clinical counselor who has been in the field providing therapy services to individuals for over eight years. Her background includes working in forensic settings providing treatment in group and individual settings to clients with sexual offense histories, severe and persistent mental illnesses co-occurring with substance use disorders, and many other mental health conditions causing functional impairment. Her areas of expertise include treating individuals with co-occurring disorders, severe and persistent mental illnesses, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders.

    Jenna’s approach to therapy is client centered while keeping in mind trauma informed care. Jenna examines her client’s stage of change and incorporates motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic, and solution focused practices to meet client needs. It is important to Jenna to meet her clients where there are at in their change process and empower her clients to live their best lives possible.

    No one can tell you exactly what therapy will look like, but know Jenna will be there to guide you through your process. Jenna will work with you to establish goals and determine the steps you will need to take to accomplish them. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy and a client can expect the working alliance to be empathetic, caring, respectful, and professional. Jenna will listen attentively, model healthy and positive relationship experience, provide feedback, and always provide ethical and evidenced based practices in therapy. Jenna is excited to begin working with clients to empower them to live their best life.

    For mental health professionals seeking licensure, Jenna is a board approved supervisor with the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy for LPC and LPCC candidates. Jenna’s philosophy of supervision values the importance of the supervisee developing, building, and processing clinical skills and insight in a safe, validating, and supportive environment.

    Outside of working her 40 hour per week job in addition to part time at Shaffer Professional Services, Jenna enjoys spending time with her dogs. Her hobbies include CrossFit, hiking, camping, and any activity outdoors.
